Northern Arizona Wranglers News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Northern Arizona Wranglers head to San Diego, Calif., in Week 13, to take on the San Diego Strike Force, as they'll be in search of their sixth-straight victory.
On Saturday evening, the Wranglers, and Strike Force, will do battle for the second and final time during the regular season. The Wranglers will be looking to keep their hot streak alive, playing a Strike Force team that has lost four straight games. On the contrary, the Wranglers enter Pechanga Arena with five straight victories.
Northern Arizona currently holds an 8-2 record on the season, while San Diego is sitting at 2-8, in their inaugural season. Last week, the Wranglers pulled off a thrilling 34-32 victory against the Tucson Sugar Skulls, in which they entered the fourth quarter down by 11 points. The Strike Force fell short last week, dropping a high scoring affair to the Duke City Gladiators, by a score of 54-49.
The Wranglers will need to put their full focus on the Strike Force, and avoid looking too far ahead to their highly anticipated matchup with the Arizona Rattlers next weekend. To keep the race for first place in the Western Conference tight, the Wranglers need to control what they can. This means they need to grind out a win against the Strike Force.
The Wranglers still hold the Indoor Football League's top ranked scoring defense, while the Strike Force are ranked last. Wranglers quarterback Kaleb Barker and the IFL's fourth- ranked scoring offense will be aiming to take advantage of that mismatch on paper. Northern Arizona will need to play a complete game of football, in all three phases, to continue their trajectory towards the top of the Western Conference.
Will the Wranglers head out of San Diego with their winning streak intact? Come out to Hideout Bar in Prescott Valley, Ariz., to find out! Watch the game with other Wranglers fans, while enjoying food and drinks at the bar! Drinks at halftime are also half-priced! Stream the game on the Indoor Football League YouTube channel.
The NAZ Wranglers YouTube channel will feature pregame, halftime and postgame coverage from our own broadcast team of James Poovey and Ed Cole.
