Green Bay Rockers News Release
The 'Frogs' offense came to life on Friday night in Mequon, and Green Bay defeated the Lakeshore Chinooks 12-4 to win the series and climb above .500 on the season.
Green Bay's bats were active early and often. They score one in each of the first three innings, two in the fourth, three in the fifth, and four in the seventh to account for their twelve runs on the night.
Justin Seager had perhaps the biggest night at the plate for the 'Frogs. He was 2-5 on the night with a double, a triple, and a sacrifice fly, accounting for four RBI.
Caleb Dugas added to the scoring with a two-run double to left-center in the seventh. These were his first RBIs of the season on just his second hit as a Bullfrogs. Dugas reached base in every at bat, walking three times and reaching after being hit by a pitch in addition to the double. He scored two of the twelve Green Bay runs.
In his second start of the season, Bradley Wallace (2-0) put together an outstanding performance. The right-hander from Arkansas State went six innings on the mound, allowing no earned runs on just four hits. He struck out eight Chinooks batters and walked none.
Bud Jeter gave up two earned runs in two innings of work, and Harry Stanwyck pitched a scoreless ninth in his first appearance as a Bullfrog.
