ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Triple-A Round Rock Express will take center stage on British national television when one of Great Britain's longest running national sports programs comes to The Dell Diamond on Monday, August 25 as part of a five-team professional baseball tour.

The Express affiliate will be the first minor league team ever covered by MLB on Five, which broadcasts Major League games twice weekly during the season to a national network audience in Britain. The show will also visit Anaheim (Los Angeles Angels - Angel Stadium), Seattle (Mariners - Safeco Field) and Arlington (Texas Rangers - Rangers Ballpark at Arlington).

"We've always made an effort to be ambassadors of the game, both here and abroad," said Express president Jay Miller. "We're honored to have one of the premier English sports programs in Central Texas, getting a feel not only for the American brand of baseball, but also for the great state of Texas."

Jonny Gould and Josh Chetwynd, co-hosts of MLB on Five, will spend Monday touring the ballpark, taking batting practice, participating in in-game ceremonies, visiting live on ESPN AM 1260 with Round Rock broadcaster Mike Capps and sitting in the dugout with Express players and staff.

MLB on Five has visited nearly 20 Major League stadiums over the last five years, bringing baseball fans in Great Britain insight into America's Favorite Pastime. The show has focused solely on Major League venues until this year.

"When viewers asked us about adding a minor league stop to the annual ‘Road Trip', Round Rock was an easy choice," MLB on Five producer Erik Janssen said. "Round Rock truly represents the best of minor league baseball and we look forward to capturing the fun and excitement of our visit for our audience."
