HOW IT HAPPENED:

2B Justin Foscue launched his first home run of the season to give the Express an early 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning.

Round Rock RHP Josh Stephan tossed 4.0 scoreless innings with 3 SO, before Sugar Land 1B CJ Alexander hit a two-run homer to put the Space Cowboys ahead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fifth.

After the clubs traded scoreless frames, the E-Train rallied in the top of the eighth to tie the game at 2-2. Round Rock SS Cam Cauley got aboard with a walk and Foscue followed with a single. 1B Jonah Bride reached on a fielder's choice to load the bases. DH Willie MacIver drew a walk, bringing Cauley home from third to even the score at two apiece.

Neither team could manage to push across a run in the ninth frame, forcing the game into extra innings. The Express came up empty in the tenth. Sugar Land RHP Michael Knorr retired three batters via fly balls despite issuing a walk to Bride. LF Kellen Strahm delivered the game-winner via a walk-off single in the bottom half of the inning, driving in ghost runner Alexander to give Sugar Land their first win of the season.

E-TRAIN EXCERPTS:

FORGET ABOUT IT FOSCUE: 2B Justin Foscue hit his first home run of the season, reaching base twice and driving in a run. Foscue is currently on a six-game hitting streak dating back to September 16th of 2025. The infielder has also got aboard in five of his 10 plate appearances to start the season.

BULLPEN BULLIES: Round Rock had four relievers each toss a scoreless inning. RHP Marc Church, LHP Robby Ahlstrom, RHP Alexis Diaz, and RHP Michel Otanez combined for six strikeouts while only surrendering two hits and a walk.

HEY STEPHAN: Round Rock RHP Josh Stephan kept the Space Cowboys at bay in his season debut. Stephan held Sugar Land scoreless and struck out four batters through the first three frames on Saturday night. The right-hander allowed two earned runs via a 1B CJ Alexander home run and only issued one walk.
