
Grasshoppers Drop 6-2 to the Crawdads

HICKORY, N.C. - The Greensboro Grasshoppers dropped 6-2 to the Hickory Crawdads on Wednesday, June 28. The Crawdads improved to 5-0 for the second half of the season while the Grasshoppers fell to 1-4. Hickory outhit Greensboro 8-2 while the Grasshoppers had two mishaps.
Leading at the plate for the Grasshoppers was Ernny Ordonez as he went 1-2 with a home run, two RBI, and one run scored. Shawn Ross tallied the only other Grasshoppers hit.
Starting on the mound for Greensboro was righthanded pitcher Po-Yu Chen as he recorded six strikeouts and gave up seven hits, six runs (three earned runs), and three free bases on 6.2 innings of work. Chen took the loss for the Grasshoppers and fell to 3-5 on the season.
Josh Stephan recorded the win for the Crawdads and improved to 6-3 on the season.
