Grasshoppers Take 7-0 Loss to the Crawdads

HICKORY, N.C. - The Greensboro Grasshoppers took a 7-0 loss against the Hickory Crawdads on Thursday, June 29. The Crawdads improved to 6-0 in the second half of the season while the Grasshoppers fell to 1-5. Hickory outhit Greensboro 10-2 as the Grasshoppers had two mishaps to the Crawdads' one.

Leading at the plate for the Grasshoppers was Wyatt Hendrie as he went 1-3 with one free base. Jackson Glenn recorded the only other Hoppers hit for the night going 1-4.

Starting on the mound for Greensboro was righthanded pitcher Jaycob Deese as he tallied three strikeouts and gave up four hits, two runs, and one free base on three innings of work. Deese took the loss for the Grasshoppers and moved to 2-1 on the season.

Larson Kindreich recorded the win for the Crawdads and improved to 4-4 on the season.
