
Goodjohn Returns to Gladiators

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have re-signed forward Kris Goodjohn for the 2004-05 season.
"Goodie was a key part of our successful playoff run last season," said Gladiators Head Coach Jeff Pyle. "He scored some big goals down the stretch to help us get into the playoffs and he also had some huge goals in the playoffs."
Goodjohn tallied the overtime game-winning goal in the Gladiators 2-1 overtime victory over the Mississippi Sea Wolves in Game 5 of the Central Division Semi-Finals to propel the Gladiators to the Central Division Finals against Louisiana.
"I am definitely looking forward to coming back to Gwinnett," said Gladiators forward Kris Goodjohn. "There is no better place in the ECHL to play - from the fans, to (Coach) Jeff (Pyle) and whole organization. I'm definitely looking forward to next season."
The Calgary, Alberta native finished his rookie season with the Gladiators in third in scoring with 19 goals and 37 assists for 56 points in 71 games.
"I want to get off to a quicker start and pick up where I left off at the end of last season," said Goodjohn.
In 13 playoff games, Goodjohn posted 12 points off of 5 goals and 7 assists helping the Gladiators to the Central Division Championship.
"The Playoffs capped of a great season," said Goodjohn, "and our run is definitely keeping things exciting heading into next season."
The Gladiators begin their second season on the road before hosting the Eastern Conference Champion Florida Everblades on Friday, October 29th at 7:35 p.m. Season Tickets for the Gladiators sophomore season at the Arena at Gwinnett Center are now on sale by calling the Gladiators at 770-497-5100.
