ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Alaska Aces will welcome back left winger Jordan Cameron for the 2004-05 season after signing the 6-1, 225-pounder to a one-year deal.

The 22-year-old Cameron scored 17 goals in the regular season and two more in the playoffs, with all but three of those goals coming on the road. He erupted for a natural hat trick with four straight goals to bring Alaska back from a 5-2 deficit in Bakersfield February 14 and scored the equalizer with less than two minutes left in regulation in an eventual 3-2 win at Idaho February 25.

Cameron continued to shine in the playoffs, scoring in Game One victories over San Diego and Idaho, with both goals coming, naturally, on the road. He came to Anchorage last fall from Drayton Valley, Alberta, needing a strong training camp just to make the team, but appeared in 69 of 72 games and recorded 30 points (17g-13a), giving the Aces reason to believe those numbers may be just a prelude.

"Considering we didn't know all that much about him prior to camp last year, Jordan was probably the most pleasant surprise on our team," said Alaska head coach Davis Payne. "He's highly skilled, strong on the puck and just now is starting to realize how good he can become."

Cameron has elected to live and train in Anchorage this summer.

Alaska will open its season October 22-23 in Boise against the defending Kelly Cup champion Idaho Steelheads. San Diego arrives in Anchorage for the home opener October 29. 2004-05 season tickets are on sale now. Once again, KFQD 750 AM will broadcast live all Alaska Aces games, with the live feed also available at www.alaskaaces.com.
