
Goldeyes Rout Saltdogs in Set Opener

LINCOLN - The Winnipeg Goldeyes (16-15) beat the Saltdogs (17-14) 14-1 in front of 2,252 fans at Haymarket Park Tuesday night.
Winnipeg scored four in the third and five in the sixth in a 19-hit onslaught.
Lincoln scored their run on a Rene Leveret sacrifice fly in the fifth.
Mikey O'Brien (4-2) pitched six innings of one-run ball to earn the win.
Matt Larkins (4-1) yielded six earned on 11 hits in four frames to suffer the loss.
Mike Gilmartin went 3-for-4 with a double and a run in the losing effort.
The series continues Wednesday night at 6:35 p.m. RHP Ryan O'Sullivan is expected to face LHP Kevin McGovern. Radio coverage begins at 6:05 p.m. on KFOR FM 103.3/1240 AM.
