Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today that the baseball club has acquired right-handed pitcher Chris Bodishbaugh from the Sioux City Explorers in exchange for a player to be named later and cash considerations.

Bodishbaugh, 27, is currently third in the American Association in saves with 17. He also has a 6-4 record and 4.13 ERA. The Walnut Creek, California product is no stranger to playing in Canada, having played the 2009 and 2010 seasons with the Victoria Seals and 2011 with the Calgary Vipers of the independent North American Baseball League.

A 48th round pick of the Florida Marlins in 2008, Bodishbaugh played his rookie season in 2008 between Short Season-A Jamestown of the New York/Penn League and Single-A Greensboro of the South Atlantic League in the Marlins' system.

The Goldeyes now have 21 players on their roster, including 11 pitchers and 10 position players.

Great seats for the game are available by clicking on Ticketmaster.ca, calling 1-855-GOLDEYE or visiting any Ticketmaster location, including the one at Shaw Park.
