
Goldeyes Add Experienced Reliever

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Goldeyes signed right-handed pitcher Jimmer Kennedy on Thursday afternoon.
Kennedy is 2-2 with one save and a 6.31 ERA in 28 total relief appearances this season between the Laredo Lemurs, Sioux Falls Canaries, and Can-Am League's Sussex County Miners. Last season, Kennedy was 2-0 with two saves and a 2.70 ERA in 38 relief appearances, while helping the Sioux City Explorers win an American Association record 75 games. The Levittown, Pennsylvania native is in his fifth year in the American Association. As of today, Kennedy is 11th all-time in league history with 152 appearances.
Kennedy is 15-21 with 13 saves and a 3.68 ERA in seven professional seasons. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound right-hander started his career in the Can-Am League in 2010 with the Brockton Rox and Sussex Skyhawks. Kennedy played four years of college baseball at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey where he was a combined 19-21 with a 5.33 ERA from 2006-09.
The Goldeyes also placed right-handed pitcher Cameron McVey on the disabled list, retroactive to August 7th.
Kennedy will be in uniform tonight when the Goldeyes open a four-game series against the Wichita Wingnuts at Shaw Park at 7:05 p.m.
