
Goaltender Olivier Roy Assigned to Stockton

Oklahoma City - The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the Oklahoma City Barons, have assigned goaltender Olivier Roy to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL, Barons General Manager Bill Scott announced today.
Roy, a 6-0, 170-pounder from Amqui, Quebec has appeared in 22 games with the Barons this season, posting a 9-9-1 record, 2.77 goals against average and .902 saves percentage. With the Thunder this season, he appeared in five games, posting a 3-1-0 record, 1.24 goals against average, .962 saves percentage and one shutout. The Oilers 5th round draft choice (133rd overall) played four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Cape Breton and Acadie-Bathurst before turning pro.
The Barons return to action Tuesday night at home against the Rochester Americans at 7 p.m. Tuesday's game is a Winning Weekday. Should the Barons win, everyone in attendance will earn a ticket to the Barons final weekday game of the season on Tuesday, April 2.
Friday night, the Barons take on the Houston Aeros. Friday Nights are Barons nights where fans can enjoy $2 draft beer and $1 hot dogs from 6 - 8 p.m. at all Slapshot Concession stands.
Faceoff for both games is 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. The games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
