March 15, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rockford IceHogs News Release

Rockford, Ill.- Dust off your boots for Country Night at the BMO Harris Bank Center as the Rockford IceHogs play host to the Chicago Wolves at 7:05 p.m. tonight in an Illinois Lottery Cup matchup.

After a three game road swing, the IceHogs return to home ice to take on the Wolves for the tenth of 12 meetings on the campaign. Chicago has held the upper hand so far in the season series with Rockford. The IceHogs are 3-5-0-1 against the Wolves in 2012-13, including 1-3-0-0 at the BMO.

For tickets, visit IceHogs.com, call (815) 968-5222 or stop by the BMO Harris Bank Center box office or any Ticketmaster outlet.

Country Night, sponsored by Frito Lay and Q98.5, is highlighted by live music from Back Country Roads, a local band from Northern Illinois. Back Country Roads will be performing throughout the game along with a brief postgame concert. The band has been playing together since the summer of 2009, including the past three years at Country Thunder in Twin Lakes, Wis., and the group has opened for Neal McCoy, Steel Magnolia, Easton Corbin and Phil Vassar.

Fans can put their dancing and bull riding skills to the test tonight. A mechanical bull will be stationed on the concourse challenging all riders throughout the game, and the first intermission will feature a line-dancing competition. To take part in the competition, register at the U.S. Cellular Fan Zone before the start of the game. There will also be a contest for the individual wearing their best country get-up, with the winner receiving a pair of tickets to a Chicago Blackhawks game.

Fans that can't make it to tonight's tilt can watch live on 23.2 Antenna TV, Comcast Cable channel 436, Charter Cable channel 970, Mediacom 101 or online with AHL Live. To listen for free, visit AHLlive.com and click on the radio tab at the top-right of the screen.

The Hogs look to keep pace in a tight Western Conference playoff race. The IceHogs find themselves sitting in 12th place with 62 points, just four behind Oklahoma City (66) for the eighth and final playoff spot and five behind the visiting Wolves (67).

Rookie defenseman Adam Clendening has been hot for the Hogs as of late. The All-Star blueliner picked up points (1g-4a) in all three of Rockford's games last week and now has points in six-straight contests, totaling one goal and seven assists dating back to Feb. 24.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Mar. 16 vs. Peoria. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs and Rivermen square off in another Illinois Lottery Cup matchup. The game is the ninth of 12 on the season between the two squads.
