Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov named Fifth Third Bank Mighty Ducks Player of the Month for February

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Cincinnati Mighty Ducks goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov, who posted a 4-5-1 record, 1.98 goals-against average and .934 save percentage, has been named the Fifth Third Bank Mighty Ducks Player of the Month for February.

Bryzgalov, who earned Fifth Third Bank Mighty Ducks Player of the Month honors for the second time this season (October) and third time in his career, allowed two goals or fewer in eight of 10 appearances, stopping 283 of 303 shots faced. He made 30 or more saves in five games during the month, including 36 in a 3-2 win in overtime February 21 at Hamilton.

Bryzgalov, a second-round pick by Anaheim in 2000, is 20-19-6 with a 2.23 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage in 46 games this season. The 6-foot-3, 194-pounder ranks second in the AHL in wins, minutes played (2,740) and saves (1,215).

A native of Togliatti, Russia, the 23-year-old Bryzgalov will be presented with a plaque from Fifth Third Bank during a ceremony prior to an upcoming game.
