Toronto Marlies News Release
The Toronto Marlies, in conjunction with their game operations staff, are getting ready for one of their most anticipated promotion events of the season as they host Goalie Night this Saturday afternoon when the team faces the Binghamton Senators at 4:00 p.m. A number of exciting events are scheduled to take place in the 90 minutes leading up to game-time, and then throughout the game and during the second intermission.
Highlights of the team's inaugural Goalie Night include a 30 minute autograph signing session by Maple Leafs' legend Wendel Clark which will take place in Marlies Alley from 3:00 - 3:30 p.m. Also, the first 2500 fans in attendance will receive a free Toronto Marlies' goalie mask courtesy of the Ontario Toyota Dealers. In addition, any fan entering the Coliseum wearing a minimum of one piece of a goaltender's regular equipment (defined as catcher, blocker, mask, goalie stick or goalie pads) will qualify for two tickets to the Marlies' February 18th home game when they host the Rochester Americans at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for that evening's contest can be redeemed at a special booth inside Marlies Alley.
Once the game begins, prizes will be handed-out at various breaks in the action. One lucky fan, best displaying his or her goalie spirit, will receive a game-used Marlies' goalie stick courtesy of the team. The second intermission will feature a Timbit game with special focus on the two teams' respective goalies as they face their Atom-level teammates in a shootout. The winning goaltender will be able to invite his team to a Marlies' practice for a meet & greet session with Toronto players one day during next month's spring break.
