Grand Junction Jackalopes News Release

With 2-out in the tenth inning, Jackson Glines just cleared the wall for his first home run of the season, sending the Grand Junction Rockies to their eighth straight loss, 8-7 to the Great Falls Voyagers at Suplizio Field.

The Rockies had the tying run on base in the bottom of the inning, but Danny Dopico struck out Mylz Jones to end the game. It is the Rockies eighth straight loss in a game decided by a run.

Rockies pitching walked nine and hit three batters, while defensively, they committed four errors.

Glines homered off Hunter Brothers, who had retired the first six men he faced out of the bullpen, with four strikeouts. The Rockies bullpen let a 7-3 lead get away after Great Falls scored a pair in the seventh and eighth innings.

Antonio Rodriguez doubled home a pair of runs in the top of the first to put Great Falls on top, but the first five Rockies reached base in the bottom of the inning, netting three runs, giving them the lead, though it was short lived as Johan Cruz singled home a run in the top of the second to tie the game at 3.

Grand Junction batted around in the third, scoring four runs, but they didn't score again. Jensen Park and Anthony Brito had two hits. Collin Ferguson singled in the ninth to extend his hitting streak to 11 games, matching a club-high in 2015.

The loss drops the Rockies to 2-9 in the second half. They have lost nine straight games at Suplizio Field.
