Gladiators Training Camp: Day Four

LAS VEGAS, NV February 8, 2007- The Las Vegas Gladiators Coaching staff is continually amazed at the determination and work ethic of this group of guys on the 2007 roster. With quite a few Gladiators overcoming injury and fatigue as Day 4 of training camp finishes off, the players continue to prove that nothing will get in their way of success.
"Yesterday, we looked like a team that has been through 3 days of two-a-day practices" said Head Coach Danton Barto. "I like that our team fought through the day and worked hard to get better. I have been impressed all camp with this team's work ethic".
Many players are continuing to stand out to the Gladiators Coaching staff, and each day there are new players who begin to shine. With the level of skill the Gladiators knew they had on the roster, training camp is allowing the coaches to see the depth in their roster, which is vital to the success of any team.
"Joe Douglass (WR) had a great day in practice" said Coach Barto. "We had a couple of receivers banged up and Joe had to basically take every rep at practice. He continued to make big plays all day".
"Karon Riley has been impressive all camp" Coach Barto remarked. "I believe as Karon continues to learn the arena game that he has a chance to be an elite pass rusher for the team".
The Gladiators continue to improve daily, making strides that impress the coaches each and every day. The Gladiators are determined to create a successful team on and off the field.
Training camp is open to the public and practices are held outside the Orleans Arena. The first practice begins at 9:30-11:30 and the second practice goes from 2:45-4:45pm.
The Gladiators will kickoff their 5th season on the road March 4th against the Austin Wranglers at 1pm. Season tickets for the 2007 Las Vegas Gladiators home schedule are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Las Vegas Gladiators office at 702-731-4977.
