Gladiators Schedule Altered due to scheduling conflicts at New Charlotte Arena
August 30, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators announced three date changes to their road schedule and swapped opponents for six additional games for the 2005-06 season due to scheduling conflicts at the new Charlotte Arena. The changes did not affect any of the Gladiators 36 home game dates at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. A complete schedule follows this release.
The Gladiators swapped opponents for three home games, all in the second half of the season. The Columbia Inferno will now visit the Arena at Gwinnett Center on January 31st instead of the Pensacola Ice Pilots. February 4th will see Pensacola instead of Columbia while the Charlotte Checkers will visit Gwinnett on March 11th instead of the Mississippi Sea Wolves.
Road games that moved include a match up with Charlotte Checkers at the new Charlotte Arena on November 13th while the Gladiators will not play in Pensacola on November 22nd. Gwinnett added a road game in Charlotte on January 2nd while the Gladiators will not travel to Augusta to take on the Lynx on December 20th. The Mississippi Sea Wovles will host the Gladiators on March 7th while Gwinnett will not play on March 21st as originally scheduled at Charlotte.
Three other road game changes include visiting Augusta on February 10th instead of Charlotte. Gwinnett will now travel to Charlotte on March 10th instead of Mississippi and will be in Pensacola on April 1st instead of Charlotte.
The Gladiators will still face the Toledo Storm at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on December 17th while the 2005 Kelly Cup Champion Trenton Titans will still make two trips to Gwinnett, on December 9th and February 12th, both as originally scheduled.
The Gwinnett Gladiators open the 2005-06 ECHL season at the Arena at Gwinnett Center hosting the Charlotte Checkers on October 21st. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties. For more information call 770-497-5100 or log on to gwinnettgladiators.com.
The Gladiators play all 36 home games at the Arena at Gwinnett Center located on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth and are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers.
