
Thunder adds veteran to defense

STOCKTON, Calif. - Stockton has further solidified their defense with the addition of veteran defenseman Dean Stork to the blueline.
The move reunites Stork with Thunder Head Coach Chris Cichocki. He previously played for Cichocki for three seasons with the Arkansas Riverblades and for a year with the Cincinnati Cyclones.
"Dean is a leader in the locker room and on the ice," Cichocki said. "We worked together for four years and I look forward to having a guy with such great character on my team once again."
In 390 career games, Stork has accumulated 438 penalty minutes and tallied 32 goals and 86 assists for a total of 118 career points. He spent last season in the ECHL playing for the Texas Wildcatters and the Columbia Inferno. During the 2004-2005 ECHL season, he scored five goals and had 23 assists for a total of 28 points. He compiled a total of 64 penalty minutes.
Stork played three years for the University of Massachutes at Amherst, before turning professional in the spring of 1999.
