Checkers release final schedule and mini-season ticket plans

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced their final schedule today along with the team's mini-season ticket plans for the 2005-06 season. The announcement was made from the team's new uptown office by Jeff Longo, President of the Checkers.
The Checkers will start the season with a five game road trip on Friday, October 21st at Gwinnett before opening the home schedule in Charlotte Bobcats Arena on Sunday, November 6th. All mini plans, which range from six to 24 games and $60 to $505, include a ticket to the season opener.
"We're excited about the diversity of our mini plans," said Longo. "Our flexible packages allow us to acknowledge the varying needs of our expanding fanbase. Not only do we expect to continue our tradition of bringing in great energized crowds on the weekends, but we look to draw from a new uptown demographic to help create that same excitement during our weekday match-ups as well."
The Checkers are offering fans a 24 Game Plan, 12 Game Friday/Saturday Plan, 12 Game Weekday Plan, Two-For Package (includes two tickets to one game on each day of the week excluding Monday), Game of the Month Plan and Flex Book (10 undated ticket vouchers).
The 36-game home schedule features 18 weekend games (six on Friday, Saturday and Sunday). The longest homestand is a six-game stretch over 12 days (3/19 - 3/30) and the longest road trip is the season-opening trip, which includes five games spanning over 15 days (10/21 - 11/4).
The Charlotte Checkers open their 13th season in the ECHL Friday, October 21st at Gwinnett. The Checkers are Bound for Uptown as they open their home schedule Sunday, November 6th in their new home at Charlotte Bobcats Arena against Greenville.
