Atlanta Gladiators News Release


With back-to-back wins over the Florida Everblades last weekend, the Gladiators have moved into a tie for second place in the ECHL South Division with Charlotte as both teams have identical 5-1-1 records and 11 points. The Gladiators won the first meeting of the season against Pensacola, 6-0, back on October 22nd. Tuesday Night Hockey The Gladiators take on the Pensacola Ice Pilots on Tuesday, November 15th at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday's contest is being sponsored by radio station 680 The Fan.

On the Air

Catch the play-by-play of tonight's game on WDUN, News Talk 550, in the arena on FM 103.9 and on the internet at www.wdun.com. Dustin Bixby provides the play-by-play. The Gladiators, in conjunction with B2-Networks, will provide a video web cast of every game during the regular season for just $6 a view. Fans can access the web cast 10 minutes prior to game time by logging onto www.gwinnettgladiators.com. Friday's 7:35 p.m. match up at the Arena at Gwinnett Center against the Greenville Grrrowl is only available online at wdun.com.

Backpack Night

Friday, November 18th is Kids Backpack Night sponsored by Peggy Slappey Properties and 104.7 The Fish. The first 2,000 kids ages 12 and under will receive a free Gladiators backpack at the game. Saturday's game is also the first "Fish Family Night" of the 2005-06 season. Listen to 104.7 The Fish beginning on Monday, November 14th for all the details. 5 for $ 25 Night.

The Gladiators Thanksgiving Night game is a special 5-for-$25 Night. Donate any non-perishable food item and receive the right to purchase five (5) upper end zone tickets for only $ 25! The discount available at the Arena at Gwinnett Center Box Office Only.

99X Freeloader Frenzy

Thanksgiving night is a 99X Freeloader night. Show your "I am 99X" Card at the Arena at Gwinnett Center Box Office and receive 1/2 price Premium Level Tickets in the 99X Freeloaders Section 116 for the game. These exclusive "99X Freeloader Frenzy" half-price tickets are assigned to prime lower-level reserved seating in the "XSector" with your host, Crash. That's a $16 ticket for only $8. The 99X Freeloaders offer can only be redeemed at the Arena at Gwinnett Center Box Office.

Light the Lamp Program

The Gladiators introduced the Light the Lamp Program last week to benefit the Gladiators foundation for kids. Through the program, fans and corporate partners will have the opportunity to pledge a monetary donation for each home goal that the Gladiators score during the 2005 - 2006 season. The Program allows both businesses and individuals to pledge. All proceeds from the Light the Lamp Program will be donated to the Gladiators Foundation for Kids. Fans and corporate partners can make a pledge at any Gladiators home game at the Customer Information Booth or on the web at www.gwinnettgladiators.com. Peggy Slappey Properties has signed on and will donate $50 for each home goal the Gladiators score this season.

Gwinnett Leaders

Chris Durno leads the Gladiators in scoring with 7 goals and 5 assists on the season for 12 points. Troy Milam and Jeff Campbell share first on Gwinnett in assists as each has posted 6 on the year for the Gladiators. Sean Fields has seen action in 5 of the Gladiators 7 games this season posting a 1.97 goals against average and a .931 save percentage to go a perfect 5-0-0 on the year. Pensacola Leaders Luke Fulghum has scored 2 goals and picked up 5 assists to lead the Ice Pilots in scoring with 7 points. Nicklas Lindberg leads Pensacola in goals scored with 4 on the year while Frederic Cloutier has seen action in 4 games for the Ice Pilots in net posting a 4.24 goals against average and a.905 save percentage.
