Gerard Miller Loaned to Lake Erie

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Gerard Miller has been loaned to the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL. In a separate transaction, the Royals released emergency back-up goaltender Len DiCostanzo. This marks the first call-up of the season for Miller, who played a total of eight AHL games with the Hamilton Bulldogs, Binghamton Senators and Milwaukee Admirals last season. In twenty-seven total ECHL games this year (nine with Las Vegas and eighteen with Reading), Miller has scored one goal, assisted on nine others and picked up forty-nine penalty minutes.

The Royals return home tomorrow night for the ‘Pink In The Rink' game against the Wheeling Nailers (Saturday, February 21 @ 7:05 pm). Saturday's game will be broadcast live on the Royals Radio Network Presented by Transmissions by Arbogast (True Oldies WRAW 1340 am in Reading; and The Ticket WLAN 1390 am in Lancaster), as well as on the internet via webcast hosted by Sportsjuice.com, which can be accessed through the Royals website.
