GENERALS RECAP:
- The Generals dropped their 4th straight as Jackson was shutout by Huntsville 2-0 on Monday night in the opener of the 5-game series.
- The loss sent the Generals to 3 games below .500 for the first time this season. The Generals finished the night 0-for-11 with RISP and were shutout for the 4th time.
- Starter James Gillheeney (3.0,2,0,0,0,2) allowed only 2 hits and struck out 2 in 3.0 scoreless innings, but didn't factor into the decision.
- LH Kyle Hunter (3.1,5,2,2,0,2,WP) recorded his first loss of the season after allowing 2 runs in the 5th inning. RH Richard Vargas (1.2,0,0,0,0,2) stranded an inherited runner and retired all 4 batters faced to close out the game.

- The Southern League announced Monday that LHP Cam Hobson has been named Southern League Pitcher of the Week for his performance April 29-May 4. Hobson made 2 starts this past week going 1-0, with a 0.00 ERA having tossed 13 scoreless innings. He allowed just 9 hits while walking 2 and striking out 4 this week. Hobson picked up the win last Monday during the season finale at Mobile firing 6.0 shutout innings and followed it up with 7.0 shutout innings in a no decision on Saturday night against Pensacola.
THE RELIEVING MASCHEEN:
- RH Stephen Kohlscheen has allowed 1 earned run over his last 13.0 innings in relief (9 G). Overall this season he is 1-0 with 2 saves and a 1.26 ERA (2 ER, 14.1 IP) in 10 relief appearances. He has limited opponents to a .241 average (13x54), while walking 1 and striking out 16.

- A-: Clinton 5, at Burlington 1 15-14, T4th, -6.0 W-Campbell (2-1) - SS Jack Reinheimer and LF Tyler O'Neill each drove in 2 runs as Clinton defeated Burlington 5-1 on Monday night.
