JACKSON, Tenn. - Jeremy Moore hit his second home run in as many days but the Jackson Generals (18-25) scored the final eight runs of the game in an 8-1 win over the Biscuits (23-20) on Sunday night at Generals Park.
With the Biscuits leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Generals wasted no time taking a lead of their own. John Hicks led off the inning with a single followed by Mickey Wiswall two-run home run to give Jackson a 2-1 lead. The Generals make it a four-run inning after three more hits and two errors to lead the Biscuits 4-1.
Moore went deep to lead off the fifth inning, breaking a scoreless-tie. Moore has two hits in the last two games. Both are home runs.
The Generals added two runs in the sixth and two runs in the eighth to lead 8-1.
Trevor Miller (3-4) went 6.1 innings for the win, while he only allowed three hits with four strikeouts.
Matt Neil allowed two runs in the sixth inning which ended the bullpen's scoreless-inning streak at 17.
The rubber-match is Monday morning at 11:05. RH Michael Colla will throw against LH Cam Hobson.
