PEARL, MS -- David Rohm delivered a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Mississippi Braves to a 4-2 victory over the Tennessee Smokies Sunday afternoon at Trustmark Park. The M-Braves have won five straight and 11 of the last 13 games. Mississippi plays for the series sweep Monday at 7:00 PM.
The M-Braves (24-19) scored four runs on seven hits while Montgomery (23-20) plated two runs on five hits. Shae Simmons (S, 12) came on to record the final three outs and notch his Southern League-leading 12th save.

Tennessee responded in the top of the third. Kris Bryant reached on a force out and Rafael Lopez walked. Dustin Geiger followed with a single to load the bases with one out. Rubi Silva then delivered a game-tying single to center. Jae-Hoon Ha then delivered a sacrifice fly to right, driving home Lopez and giving the Smokies a 2-1 lead.

Kyle Kubitza reached on a force out and Elmer Reyes singled up the middle to start the seventh. A passed ball allowed both runners to move up a base before Rohm delivered a two-run double to right, putting the M-Braves out front 4-2.
Chasen Shreve (2-0) picked up the win in relief. Ryan Weber, Shreve and James Hoyt combined to toss four innings in relief. They gave up just one hit and one walk while recording seven strikeouts. Jeff Lorick (0-2) surrendered the loss. He gave up two runs in one inning.
