Gary Banks II Recognized as Memphis Hustle High School Top Performer of the Month Presented by Campbell Clinic

Gary Banks II, a senior football player at Olive Branch High School in Olive Branch, has been named the Hustle High School Top Performer of the Month, presented by Campbell Clinic, for the month of November. Banks was recognized at the game on Wednesday, December 11 against the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

During the month of November, Banks led Olive Branch to a 3-1 record while totaling 565 rushing yards and 28 receiving yards, while getting into the end zone five times. Banks led the Conquistadors to the North-Half Championship game vs. Starkville High school on November 22, where he rushed for 113 yards on 20 carries.

The Commercial Appeal named banks to the 2019-20 Second-Team All-Metro Team as he finished atop Region 1-6A in rushing yards during the 2019-20 season with 1,641 yards for the Conquistadors. Banks helped Olive Branch to a 9-4 record, marking his second consecutive season to reach the 1,000-yard mark. Banks' 1,641 rushing yards ranked second among all 6A running backs in the state of Mississippi.

Banks averaged 126.2 yards per game, scored 16 rushing touchdowns, and added a receiving touchdown, as Olive Branch reached the North-Half Championship Game for the third straight year (two in 5A, one in 6A). Banks ran for more than 100 yards in 10 of the Quistors' 13 games, including a 218-yard, three-touchdown performance in a rivalry game against Southaven. Banks finished his career at Olive Branch with 2,652 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns while leading the Quistors' to a 21-6 record in his final two seasons.
