LINCOLN (6-10-1)

The Stars are coming off a 5-0 defeat at the hands of the Storm last night in Tri-City. Lincoln was outshot 36-17, but saw success on the penalty kill, killing off six of seven Storm power plays. Ryan Ouellette made 31 saves in the loss, but remains 3-2-1 against Tri-City this season with a save percentage of .897. The 20-year-old netminder has faced the most shots in the USHL (493) and has made the most saves (436).

Zach Urdahl leads Stars forwards with four goals against Tri-City this season, including a shorthanded goal. Carter Schade has scored a goal and registered three assists against the Storm so far in 2020-21.

TRI-CITY (11-7-1)

On the other hand, the Tri-City Storm are flying high following their 5-0 win over Lincoln. Hunter Strand recorded a hat trick while Todd Scott secured his first shutout of the season. Scott ranks second in the USHL in goals-against average (2.06) and third in wins (9), as well as save percentage (.914). Gavin Brindley and Cole McWard also scored last night in Tri-City.

Carter Mazur has piled up six points (two goals, four assists) against the Stars in their season series. The Storm have won four out of their last five games, including taking two out of three against Fargo on the road last week.

The first 20 minutes will be critical as the Stars are 4-0-1 when leading after one ... The Storm are 8-0 when leading after the first period ... Lincoln's power play will look to improve following a 0-for-7 showing against Tri-City last night ... Brindley has goals in back-to-back games ... Dalton Norris was a plus-four rating in Sioux City and even last night against the Storm.
