
Gameday Preview: Storm Travel to Lincoln for Final Game of Weekend

Lincoln, NE. - The Tri-City Storm travel to Lincoln for an afternoon matchup against the Lincoln Stars. Following a 1-0 road shutout of Omaha on Friday, and a 4-2 defeat of the Sioux Fall Stampede at the Viaero Center last night, Tri-City will look for a three game weekend sweep for the first time in the 2018-2019 regular season. With a win today, the Storm will jump from 4th to 1st in the USHL's Western Conference standings. Puck drop is set for 2:05pm.
Tri-City (10-3-1-0) scored four third period goals in last night's game to defeat Sioux Falls on Military Appreciation Night at the Viaero Center. The meeting was the 1st of the season between the two teams. Tri-City leads the season series against Lincoln two games to none and will face off against the Stars at the Ice Box three times in the next five games. Keaton Pehrson, Ronnie Attard, and Ian Murphy all scored goals in last night's Storm win, with Murphy netting his 4th and 5th goals of the season. Isaiah Saville recorded the win in net for Tri-City. Today's game is the fourth in six days for the Storm and the first game of a three game road stretch.
Lincoln (4-6-2-1) enters today's game in 8th place in the Western Conference standings with 11 points. The Stars defeated the Sioux Falls Stampede 2-1 on Friday night, and dropped a road contest to the Sioux City Musketeers by a final score of 4-2 last night. Shane Pinto leads Lincoln with 7 goals and 12 points on the season. Josiah Slavin and Phillippe Lapointe lead the Stars with 8 assists on the year, and Slavin is tied with Pinto for the team lead in points. In the team's last meeting, Tri-City won a thrilling 2-1 game in a shootout at the Ice Box on October 27th.
Today's game is set to begin at 2:05pm CT, and will be streamed live on HockeyTV, and Storm Radio.
