Last time they met: The Blades' the only encounter with the Broncos thus far this season was last night at SaskTel Centre. Tristen Robins had two goals, Martin Fasko-Rudas notched his first as a Blade while Scott Walford & Kyle Crnkovic each had two assists on the evening. Koen MacInnes made 14 saves for his second WHL career shutout and Chase Wouters tied a career high in goals with his 18th of the season.
What it means for the Blades: Sweeping the Broncos in the home and home series and getting all four important points available this weekend.
The stat: 14 - The Saskatoon Blades limited to the Broncos to just 14 shots on net for the whole game last night, including just 2 in the second period.
It's a big night for: Koen MacInnes - the rookie netminder had only started consecutive games for the first time in his young WHL career just on January 8th and 10th. Now it's anticipated that he will make the second back-to-back start of his career tonight after starting both Saskatoon's games last Friday and Saturday as well as their game last night. It's been a quick change of pace for MacInnes, who before his start on January 8th had last started in November.
