Scouting Lincoln - The Stars (4-5-0) have gotten used to playing tight games as they've gone 4-2-0 in one-goal games. Josef Korenar leads the team in net with a 1.47 GAA and .952 save percentage. Justin Richards and Gustaf Westlund lead the team with four points.
Scouting Madison - The Capitols (3-4-0) avoided a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 win against the Waterloo Black Hawks on Friday night. Madison has scored the third-fewest goals in the USHL (13). Eugene Fadyeyev leads the Capitols with two goals and four assists.
Road Trippin - The Stars opened their longest road trip in team history on Oct. 15 against Tri-City. The seven-game trip features six opponents in five states. It will conclude on Nov. 5th in Sioux Falls.
Top Rookies - Rookie forwards Justin Richards and Gustaf Westlund lead the Stars with four points. Richards has two goals and two assists. Westlund has four assists.
Series History - The Stars went 1-1-0 against the Capitols last season and are 3-1-0 all-time in the matchup. Lincoln will face Madison twice this season with the second game set for March 25 in the Ice Box.

Bowlby Commits - Henry Bowlby committed to Harvard University on Monday, Oct. 17. Bowlby had 17 points in 64 USHL games at the time of his decision. The 6'1" 190 pound forward had 23 points in 50 games for Edina High School prior to joining the Stars.
Stars in the Show - Five former Stars made NHL Opening-Day Rosters. David Backes (BOS), Jared Boll (ANA), Ryan Dzingel (OTT), Jimmy Hayes (BOS) and Chris VandeVelde (PHI) joined a record-setting 107 USHL alumni on NHL rosters.
NHL CSS Players to Watch - The NHL released its preliminary Players to Watch list for the 2017 NHL Draft. Sixty-eight players on USHL rosters were named to the list, including Cayden Primeau and Eero Terî=A4vî=A4inen. Primeau was listed as a B-rated prospect (projected 2nd-3rd round pick), while Terî=A4vî=A4inen was listed as a C-rated prospect (projected 4th-7th round pick).

Military Appreciation Night - The Stars will host Military Appreciation Night presented by West Gate Bank on Friday, Nov. 11. A portion of ticket proceeds will go to the Lincoln Veterans Association Homeless Program. A postgame jersey auction will be held to benefit the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Veterans Association.
Princesses and Pirates Night - Elsa and Anna from Frozen, Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and Miss Nebraska Aleah Peters will be in attendance for a special night at the Ice Box presented by Elite Custom Technology.
