TONIGHT: The Orlando Solar Bears (7-4-1-0) battle the Manchester Monarchs (5-6-1-1) for the first time since the 2016-17 season. The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings and are currently seeded sixth in the North Division.
BOES TO START: Goalie movement within both the Tampa Bay and Los Angeles Kings organizations has forced goaltenders from both Orlando and Manchester up to the American Hockey League. With Martin Ouellette up with the Syracuse Crunch, Corbin Boes is expected to get the start in net tonight for Orlando. Boes is coming off a 36-save shutout performance for his first pro win on Nov. 3 at Greenville.
FOGET PICKING UP PACE: Rookie forward Mathieu Foget enters tonight's game riding a three-game point streak (1g-2a). Foget is averaging over four shots per game over that span, and has also recorded a +2.
BEREHOWSKY ONE AWAY FROM 100: With 99 career wins behind the bench of the Solar Bears, Drake Berehowsky is already the winningest head coach in the team's ECHL tenure. His next victory will allow him to join IHL Solar Bears bench boss Curt Fraser as the second head coach of a professional hockey team in Orlando to reach the century mark in coaching wins.
NEXT GAME: The Solar Bears continue their five-game road trip when they visit the Worcester Railers on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7:05 p.m. at the DCU Center. The Solar Bears return home to host the South Carolina Stingrays for Wine Down Wednesday on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.
