NEWS & NOTES:
Last Time Out Riley Heidt's hat-trick led the Cougars to a 6-4 win at the CN Centre this past Sunday afternoon over the Vancouver Giants. Carter MacAdams, Cole Dubinsky, and Noah Boyko also scored in the victory for the Cats, while Tyler Brennan made 18 saves.
Who's Hot: The point streaks continue for both Koehn Ziemmer and Hudson Thornton. Both Cougar skaters enter tonight's game against the Royals with points in 11 straight games. Ziemmer and Thornton have combined for 13 goals and 25 assists in that span. Newly acquired forward Cole Dubinsky continues his start as a Cougar. Since being acquired on Friday, November 4th from the Regina Pats, Dubinsky has collected five points (3G 2A) in three games. Forward Riley Heidt is also coming off a fantastic week, being named the WHL's Player of the Week, collecting nine points in three games, which included his hat-trick performance over the Vancouver Giants on Sunday afternoon.
On The Other Side: The Royals under Michael Dyck this season are 3-14-3-0. The Royals have been led by 20-year-old forward Jake Poole who has collected 18 points in 18 games as a Royal (11G-7A). Victoria made a trade yesterday with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, acquiring Alex Thacker in exchange for 4th round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospect's Draft. Thacker, 20, has played 164 games in the WHL and has collected 113 points in that span (22G-91A).
