The Storm are heading to Erie as they take on the Otters for the second time this season. The puck drops at 7:00pm
The Storm are coming into tonight's second game of their 3 in 3 with a record of 11-6-1-1. With last nights 3-2 win over the league and conference leading London Knights the Storm now sit in 2nd in conference standings. The last time these two teams played Guelph was able to pull out the win by a score of 4-3, which saw big games from Matthew Papais who scored 2 goals and Luka Profaca who tallied 2 assists. The Storm will be looking to go to Erie and bring a win home before their final game of the weekend tomorrow when Erie comes to Guelph.
The Otters have 2 games this weekend against Guelph on back-to-back days. Starting tonight when Guelph visits Erie and finishing up the weekend with a Sunday afternoon game in Guelph. The Otters are currently 5-11-1-0 which has them sitting in 10th place in the conference standings. In his third OHL season Papais has been able to provide some big goals for the team through the first 19 games of the season. With a total of 8 goals and 10 points in those 19 games Papais has provided offensively for the team and in the only other game with Erie this season he was able to score 2 goals. He will be aiming to have a repeat of that game tonight in Erie.
Erie Otters - Connor Lockhart
The Vancouver Canucks 2021 6th rounder has had a solid start to the season scoring 4 goals and 12 points in 15 games. He currently is on a 2-game point streak which has seen him score 1 goal and assist on 1 goal. He will be looking to continue the contribution to the team offensively in tonights game against Guelph
