The Ice Flyers lost a tough one last night in a 3-1 game with the Mississippi Surge and look to bounce back tonight while playing in front their own fans for the first time in two weeks. The Ice Flyers have won 4 of the 7 games this season against the Louisiana IceGators. The last meeting between these two was on Wednesday when the Gators won 2-0. The game was scoreless until there was only 1:59 left in regulation and when the Ice Flyers had pulled Corey Milan, Louisiana potted an empty netter.
The Ice Flyers are still 4th place in the SPHL but are now tied with Louisiana. The Ice Flyers home record stands on 11-5-0 at home and the Ice Gators have a 9-10-2 road record.

PENSACOLA - The IceFlyers look to continue their winning ways at home. Corey Milan's overall record now stands at 7-8-3 with a 3.33 goals against average and a .877 save percentage; however, his stats with the Ice Flyers are far better at 3-2-1, a 2.12 GAA, and 0.920 SV%. Jeff Rose has a combined record of 4-7-1, 4.20 GAA, and a 0.857 SV%. Jordan Chong still leads the team in scoring with 39 points. Chris Wilson and Matthew Robertson lead the team with 17 goals each and Chong still leads the team in assists with 24.
The Ice Flyers' power play is still 4th best in the league at 17.88%. The Flyers have scored 32 power play goals while only giving up 1 shorthanded goal. Pensacola's penalty kill is still 4th at 82.27% giving up 25 power play goals against while managing to score 5 shorthanded goals.
The Ice Flyers' will return to the Hangar tomorrow afternoon for a Sunday matinee with the Huntsville Havoc.
LOUISIANA - The IceGators continued their current winning streak last night by defeating the Mississippi RiverKings last night by a score of 2-1.The IceGators rely on Dan Earles and B.J. O'Brien between the pipes. Earles has a record of 8-5-0, a 3.36 GAA, and a 0.884 SV%. O'Brien is 11-7-2 with a 2.60 GAA, and a 0.907 SV%. The Gators' leading scorer is Jason Hill who has 62 points. Robert Short possesses the team lead in goals with 23 and Hill leads the team with 45 assists.
Louisiana has the SPHL's 3rd best power play clicking at 19.34% tallying a league high 41 power play goals. Their penalty kill is 7th in the league at 81.03% with 33 power play goals against.
This is the last game of the week for the IceGators before they take on the Mississippi Surge on Tuesday.
