Biloxi, MS - Rookie Adam Stuart found the back of the net twice against former teammate Corey Milan to power the Mississippi Surge past the Pensacola Ice Flyers in front of a festive Mardi Gras crowd on Friday night at the Coliseum. Pensacola opened the scoring at 7:26 of the first period, with Matt Robertson registering his 17th goal of the season. Ryan Hohl was credited wtih an assist on the play, butthe momentum wouldn't last long. Stuart would convert a cross-crease pass from Nick Guran at 12:39 with Ryan Salvis in the box for hooking. Matt Ridley continued his consistent play on the power play notching a power play assist for the third consecutive game.

Stuart would put the Surge ahead for good just 5:34 into the second period banging in a rebound as Colin Reddin crashed the net. The goalmouth scramble would land Reddin in the penalty box for roughing, but the Surge penalty kill was up to the challenge, holding the Pensacola power play scoreless in four chances.
