Game Preview - Ice Flyers at Huntsville Havoc

Just like last Friday, the Ice Flyers have traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to take on the Havoc. This is the 3rd meeting between the two teams and Pensacola has won both of the previous meet ups. Huntsville played in Columbus on Tuesday and lost to the Cottonmouths 4-1 loss.

Team Scope:

PENSACOLA - The Ice Flyers' win streak now stands at 6 games after wins over Louisiana, Huntsville, and Knoxville last weekend.

Steve Christie is still the Flyers' man in the net with a record of 11-2-0, 2.08 goals against average, and a 0.932 save percentage. Adam Ward has a 4-6-1 record, a 3.39 GAA, and a .881 SV%. Jordan Chong leads the team in scoring with 23 points. Matthew Robertson leads in goals with 13 and Tyler Soehner leads in assists with 16.

The Ice Flyers will head back to the Augusta tomorrow night to take on the RiverHawks before returning home and hosting the RiverHawks on back-to-back nights next weekend.

HUNTSVILLE - The Havoc had been on a 5-game winning streak but have since lost 3 out of 4 following Tuesday's 4-1 loss at Columbus.

Huntsville has Kevin Beech and Matt Hache in net with Beech having a combined record of 6-4-1, a 3.47 GAA, and a 0.877 SV% after being picked up by the Havoc after being released by the Louisiana IceGators. Hache has a total record of 2-6-0, a 4.54 GAA, and a 0.863 SV% after beginning the year with the Fayetteville FireAntz. The Havoc rely on Ryan Kretzer who has 34 points. Kretzer also leads the team with 13 goals and Glenn Dutello has 22 assists.

After the Havoc take on the Ice Flyers, Huntsville will get their chance to get revenge on the Cottonmouths as they host the Snakes on Saturday.
