Ahead of Sunday's MLS season opener, Sounders FC takes on Honduran side CD Olimpia in the second leg of its Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 matchup on Thursday evening at CenturyLink Field (7:00 p.m. PT / FS2, TUDN). The clubs played to a 2-2 draw in the first leg last Thursday in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The team that advances from the Round of 16 matchup will face the Montreal Impact in the Quarterfinals.

This marks Seattle's sixth appearance in the tournament, which crowns the best team from North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Sounders FC has advanced to at least the Quarterfinals in four of its previous five appearances, highlighted by a run to the Semifinals in 2012-2013. The Rave Green most recently played in the 2018 tournament, falling to eventual champion Chivas de Guadalajara in the Quarterfinals. The Rave Green previously faced CD Olimpia in the Group Stage of the 2015-2016 tournament, winning 2-1 at home before falling 1-0 on the road.

Brian Schmetzer's side begins 2020 MLS regular season play on Sunday, March 1 against Chicago Fire FC at CenturyLink Field (12:00 p.m. PT / ESPN, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
