RHP Aaron Wilkerson (5-0, 0.40) vs. RHP Daniel Mengden (3-2, 2.77)

Winning Wilkerson: Aaron Wilkerson has been one of the most dominant pitchers in all of minor league baseball this season. He has won five straight decisions and has yet to give up more than one earned run in a start. His current streak of 19.2 scoreless innings is the longest by a Missions pitcher this season. The Missions are also 7-1 in the games that Wilkerson has started this season.

Chasing Chihuahuas: The Missions became the second team in the Pacific Coast League to reach 40 wins after their win yesterday. The El Paso Chihuahuas are the other team with 40 wins as they currently stand at 41-22. When including all of Minor League Baseball, the Missions are currently one of seven teams with 40 wins (Double-A Arkansas, Single-A Delmarva, Single-A Greensboro, Advanced-A Wilmington, Advanced-A Down East, and Triple-A El Paso).

Dial 'N' for Nottingham: Since Jacob Nottingham returned to the Missions on June 2, he has been an important figure alongside Keston Hiura. In six games since being optioned, Nottingham is batting .318 (7-for-22) including five doubles, four runs batted in, and five walks. His five doubles since June 4 are tied for the most in the Pacific Coast League over that stretch. The Missions are 4-2 since Nottingham's return.

Deja Vu: The San Antonio Missions are on a similar path compared to their 2018 campaign. In 2018, the Missions recorded their 40th win on June 12, this year's team acheived that on June 9. The Missions record at this time last season was 39-22 and this year the Missions are 40-24.

Three's Company: The Missions have thrived this season when holding teams to three runs or less. After yesterday's performance, the Missions improved to 28-4 in games where they hold the opponent to three runs or less. Over their last ten games in which the opposing team has scored three or fewer runs, the Missions have won nine of those games, the only blemish coming on May 30 against Omaha.
