The Aces have dropped two of three to Memphis and will be looking for a series split tonight with lefty Alex Young taking the ball for manager Chris Cron. Young is coming off a good start going five innings in a win against Nashville on 6/5. He allowed one run on six hits while striking out five. A win tonight will tie Young with Taylor Widener for the team-lead in wins. On the hill for Memphis will be righty Jake Woodford who has turned in a solid season for the Redbirds thus far compiling a 4-2 record with a 3.06 ERA. Woodford is rated as the No. 24 prospect in the St. Louis Cardinals' system according to MLB Pipeline.

CWS Supers: Monday marks the end of college baseball's Super Regionals. Seven tickets have been punched (Florida St., Auburn, Miss. St, Texas Tech, Louisville, Michigan, and Vanderbilt) to the College World Series and the eighth will be the winner of Ole Miss and Arkansas game. Of the schools left in the tournament, Florida State and Louisville have ties to the Aces. Lefty Robby Scott played for Florida St. for two seasons in 2010 and 2011 compiling a 5.02 ERA over 14.1 IP. He signed a non-drafted free agent contract after his 2011 season with the Boston Redsox. Matt Koch pitched three seasons for the University of Louisville from 2010-2012 and was drafted in the third round by the New York Mets in after his final season. Koch put up good numbers holding a 3.38 ERA over 143.2 innings pitched as a Cardinal.

Hoops: It's game five of the NBA finals tonight with the Toronto Raptors holding a commanding 3-1 lead over the Golden State Warriors. However, Warriors star forward Kevin Durant is expected to return to help salvage the series. Some notable Aces ballers include Bradin Hagens who played two seasons of varsity basketball for Pitman High School in Turlock, California. Hagens averaged 8.0 points per game, scored 433 career points in 54 total games. Matt Koch earned four letters on the hardwood and was an All-Conference selection at Washington High School in Cherokee, Iowa. Wyatt Mathisen averaged 6.3 points for the Calallen Wildcats as a sophomore while shooting 60% from the three-point line. Mathisen averaged 10.3 points as a Junior and chose to forgo his senior season to focus on baseball. Marty Herum also played high school basketball but his stats could not be located.
