Tonight, the Erie SeaWolves look to clinch a road series win against the 1st-place Akron RubberDucks (Cleveland Indians) at Canal Park...The SeaWolves' pitching staff shined in the 1-0 shutout win over the Akron RubberDucks...Liarvis Breto, Kurt Spomer, and John Schreiber combined only allowed four base runners the entire game...Breto worked for 4.1 innings and struck out four in his first AA start....Spomer pitched in his longest outing of the season for Erie at 2.2 innings to give him his first win of 2018...Schreiber hurled 2.0 scoreless innings and sat down Bobby Bradley with the tying run at first to win the second game in a row for the SeaWolves...Josh Lester punched in the only run of the night for Erie, and also logged his 11th multi-hit game on the season...It was the second consecutive shutout win over the Akron RubberDucks at Canal Park...Beau Burrows is set to make his second start against Akron this season....Burrows gave him his fourth win of the season, throwing for five innings, surrendering only one unearned run in what ended up being an 8-2 Erie win....Jake Paulson is slated to make his second start against the SeaWolves this season and his seventh start overall...Paulson only allowed two earned through seven innings back on May 13th, but the SeaWolves still held on to win at Canal Park.
