Tonight
The Saskatoon Blades (26-18-1-1) wrap up a difficult three-in-three weekend in Alberta, taking on the Calgary Hitmen (18-21-5-2) for the fourth time this season.
The Blades are coming off back-to-back losses in Red Deer and Edmonton, outscored 14-4 in the two games, despite entering the weekend riding a three-game winning streak.
This is the 'hump match' in a five-game road trip for Saskatoon, which will conclude with back-to-back games in Brandon on Wednesday and Friday.
The Wheat Kings trail the Blades by one point for third place in the East Division standings.
Who to Watch
Speedy forward Kyle Crnkovic sits second in WHL scoring with 70 points (30G-40A) in 46 games. The Chestermere, AB product was held off the scoresheet for just the second time in eight games last night in Edmonton. The 19-year-old's most recent outing against Calgary proved potent on the scoresheet, netting his second hat-trick of the season in a 4-2 victory.
Reliable centre Trevor Wong netted the lone marker for Saskatoon in Edmonton last night, coming in the first period on the powerplay. The Vancouver, BC product is riding a team-high six-game point streak entering Calgary, collecting nine points (2G-7A) combined.
Alternate captain Rhett Rhinehart sits tied for second in team scoring vs. the Hitmen this season with a goal and an assist. The bulky defender is working on a career-high six goals to complement 15 assists. Rhinehart drew 11 penalty minutes in last night's game in Edmonton, which includes a five-minute fighting major in the second period.
