It's a battle for position in the Eastern Conference as the Saskatoon Blades (13-11-1-0) head to Moose Jaw to face the Warriors (13-13-1-1) for the fifth time this season.
The Blades are coming off a 4-2 setback to the Calgary Hitmen on Friday, with Kyle Crnkovic and Jayden Wiens scoring for Saskatoon.
This is the first of four games in five days for the Blades prior to the Christmas break. On Wednesday, the blue & gold will host the first-place Winnipeg ICE at SaskTel Centre before wrapping up the first half of the season with a home-and-home series against the Prince Albert Raiders.
Who to Watch
Alternate captain Kyle Crnkovic is working on a four-game scoring streak, notching 10 points (5G-5A) in that time. The Chestermere, AB product leads the Blades in scoring this season with 35 points in 25 games. The sneaky goal-scorer also leads Saskatoon in scoring against Moose Jaw this season with three goals and five assists for eight points in four games.
Alternate captain Tristen Robins picked up his second career hat-trick in Saskatoon's most-recent game against Moose Jaw, scoring three goals in the second period on October 16th. The San Jose Sharks prospect added an assist in what turned out to be a 6-2 victory over the Warriors. Robins sits second in team-scoring behind linemate Crnkovic with 31 points (11G-20A) in 24 games.
