LA Galaxy News Release

CARSON, CA (Wednesday, January 14, 2004) - Los Angeles Galaxy Vice-President and General Manager Doug Hamilton announced today that the club has obtained the MetroStars' natural first round pick in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft and future considerations. In exchange, the Galaxy send the club's eleventh overall pick in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft to the MetroStars. On the heels of its first transaction, the Galaxy continue to wheel and deal with two days remaining before the MLS SuperDraft on Friday, Jan. 16.

"We are continuing to make moves which will have an immediate impact on our team while acquiring assets as we build for the future," said Hamilton. "Acquiring this pick and future considerations allows us to do both."

The 2004 MLS SuperDraft will be held in Charlotte, N.C., with the Galaxy currently owning the third and thirteenth overall picks. The Galaxy also control at least one selection in each the final four rounds of the draft, giving the club the 22nd, 33rd, 43rd, 53rd, and 57th overall picks.

Los Angeles Galaxy tickets are now on sale for the 2004 season at The Home Depot Center, who open their ninth season in MLS with a match against the New England Revolution at 7 pm (PT) on Saturday April 3, 2004.
