
Fox Sports World to Televise 2004 MLS SuperDraft

NEW YORK (Wednesday, January 14, 2004) - For the first time in Major League Soccer's nine-year history, a live telecast of the League's annual SuperDraft will be transmitted. Fox Sports World, which enters the second season of a four-year partnership with MLS in 2004, will bring the first hour of the 2004 MLS SuperDraft into homes across the country beginning at 10:00 a.m. ET this Friday.
Hosted by the MLS Wrap team of American soccer legend John Harkes and Sean Wheelock, Fox Sports World will also televise a one-hour SuperDraft recap show Friday evening. The 2004 MLS SuperDraft originates from the Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C., and is held in conjunction with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's annual convention for the second consecutive year.
MLS fans looking to witness the highly-anticipated selection of 14-year old phenom Freddy Adu with the #1 overall selection by D.C. United can view the telecast via MLSnet.com, the official website of Major League Soccer, with a high-speed connection.
