Frostbite's winless skid extended to five games

KALAMAZOO, MI - The Adirondack Frostbite had their winless streak extended to five games (0-4-1) on Saturday night as they suffered a 4-0 loss to the Kalamazoo Wings at Wings Stadium. Adirondack has scored just 5 goals during the winless skid.

Kalamazoo scored a pair of goals in the first 10:49 of the contest to take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. Tyler Rennette started the scoring just 18 seconds into the first period, as he skated across the Frostbite blue line and ripped a wrist shot over the glove of Kris Tebbs for his 11th goal of the season.

Rennette struck again at 10:49, scoring a power-play goal for his 12th of the season. Rennette took a centering feed from Joe Seroski, and was able to slide a shot past Tebbs to make it 2-0.

The K-Wings added to their lead at 12:14 of the second, scoring their second power-play goal of the night. Greg Labenski took a shot from the left point that was tipped in front by Dustin Virag, who beat Tebbs for his third goal of the season.

Kalamazoo set the final with its third power-play goal of the night off of the stick of with 1:34 left in the third period.

K-Wings goaltender Joel Martin made 20 saves to record his 12th win, and fourth shutout, of the season.
