GLENS FALLS, NY -- Sylvain Cloutier scored a pair of goals, while Mark Hurtubise added three assists, to lead the Adirondack Frostbite to a 4-2 win over the Motor City Mechanics on Wednesday at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

Adirondack struck first 8:53 into the contest as Kevin Watters got around his man at the top of the circles and beat Rod Branch with a quick wrist shot through the five hole for his team-leading 17th goal of the season.

Cloutier scored his first of the night at 16:16 of the opening period, tallying a shorthanded goal. Hurtubise gathered in a loose puck behind the Motor City net and centered in front for Cloutier who beat Branch for his ninth of the season.

The Frostbite made it 3-0 4:37 into the second period. Cloutier gathered in a bouncing puck at the right-wing circle and beat Branch with a slap shot for his 10th of the year.

Motor City pulled within one before the end of the period, scoring twice in a 33 second span midway through the second period. Tom Kotsopoulos got the Mechanics on the scoreboard with his fourth of the season at 10:08, and Greg Bullock beat Derek Gustafson with a rebound shot at 10:41.

Adirondack got some breathing room at 10:14 of the final period, just five seconds into a power play. Hurtubise won a face-off to Hugo Belanger at the right point, and he blasted a slap shot past Branch for his 15th of the season.

Derek Gustafson made 22 saves, and also recorded his third assist of the season, in picking up his 10th win of the season.

The Frostbite are back in action on Friday, traveling to Elmira for a 7:05 face-off against the Jackals. Catch all of the action on WCKM 98.5 FM starting with the pre-game show at 6:45.
