Countdown to Face-Off
December 28, 2005 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Game Preview For the final time in 2005, the Kalamazoo will hit the road to face-off against the Flint Generals. Tonight's game is the fourth of eight meetings between the teams this season. So far on the year, the K-Wings are 3-0-0 against the Generals, which includes a 5-2 victory over the Generals in Flint back on November 23rd.
Tonight starts a big week for the K-Wings, who hit the ice four times. Kalamazoo enters the game two points behind the Muskegon Fury for the top spot in both the UHL and Central Division. With Muskegon idle tonight, a Kalamazoo victory would propel the K-Wings back into a first place tie with the Fury.
The Generals come into the game looking to snap a three-game winless streak. Flint, who is 0-1-2 in their last three games, starts tonight four points behind the Motor City Mechanics for fourth place in the Central Division.
