Frontenacs Trade Forward
June 3, 2011 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Kingston Frontenacs News Release
The Kingston Frontenacs today announce the trade of defenceman Michal Cajkovsky to the Ottawa 67's in exchange for Ottawa's 3rd round selection in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection.
"This was a difficult decision as we all enjoyed Michal as a person and as a player," said General Manager Doug Gilmour. "But in the best interest of our plan to build for the future we felt it was necessary. The Kingston Frontenacs wish Michal all the best in Ottawa."
"This move now gives us the option to utilize our selection in the up coming CHL Import draft," added Gilmour.
Gilmour, along with Head Coach Todd Gill and Assistant Coach Darren Kiley will be attending the National Hockey League Draft that will take place in Saint Paul, Minnesota later this month.
