Kingston Frontenacs News Release
For the first time since the start of the 1997-98 season, the Kingston Frontenacs remain unbeaten to start the year. Now sitting atop the East Division and Eastern Conference standing at 3-0 and six points the Fronts opened their season with a win last weekend, beating the Barrie Colts in their home opener 3-1.
Their winning ways continued as they knocked off both the Erie Otters and the Niagara IceDogs at home this past weekend with 6-5 and 5-4 victories. The youthful Fronts have scored 14 goals in their first three games and surrendered 10. In both cases this past weekend, the wins were high drama games, with a come-from-behind regulation tie and overtime win on Friday versus Erie and suppressing a mounting offence in the third period on Sunday versus Niagara.
This upcoming weekend sees the Stompin' Tom song "Sudbury Saturday Night" become a reality in Kingston as the Sudbury Wolves visit on a rare Saturday night affair in the Limestone City on the Thanksgiving weekend.
In support of the Partners in Mission Food Bank, the Frontenacs ask all season ticket holders and fans attending the game to "be a fan, bring a can" to assist in stocking the Food Bank shelves. Any fan who brings a can to the K-Rock Centre box office to purchase tickets will save $2 off the cost of their walk-up ticket.
Game time is once again 7:00 p.m. with good seats still available by dropping in or calling the K-Rock Centre box office.
