Kingston Frontenacs are in Saginaw to face the Spirt with 3,434 in attendance at the Dow Event Center. The Frontenacs are looking for their third straight win while the hometown Spirit want to snap a two-game losing streak.
Hughes, Rizzi, and Stephenson line opens the night for Kingston.

Too many men on the ice to Kingston at 11:42 as Chris Stewart played the puck while heading to the bench. Shots 7 - 4 in favour of Kingston with five minutes remaining in the period. Hughes called for Kingston Tripping at 15:17. Fronts go on the powerplay at 16:07 Holding to Gimblett. Frontenacs have 9 shots on goal, Saginaw have 8. Scoreless first period.
Bobby Hughes (1) and 7th point of the season unassisted at 3:31 into the second period. Saginaw ties the game 8:48 Sean Courtney. Kingston goes on the first powerplay of the period at 9:18 with Roughing called to Rizk and Hooking to Borges at 11:13. Kingston stays out of the box this period and leads in shots 13 - 9. Frontenacs and Spirit tied at 1.
1:36 early in the third, Todd Griffith (5) assisted by Radek Smolenak and Evan Kotsopoulos making a text book perfect play and leads Saginaw 2 - 1. The Spirit reply quickly at 3:34 Marek Kvapil gets one by Spezza for his first OHL goal in his first OHL game. Spezza makes important saves halfway through the period. 8:51 Kingston goes on the powerplay Interference called on Bain; Frontenacs take advantage at 9:31 by Cory Emmerton (4) scoring and assisted by Blake Pronk and Adam Nemeth. Kingston leads 3 - 2. Hughes gets called for Holding at 12:12 then Patrick Asselin tying the game at 13:07 on the Spirit powerplay. Kingston goes on an important powerplay at 15:54 with Hooking called to Borges. The big veteran Evan Kotsopoulos (4) rifled the game winner past Mike Brown assisted by Ben Shutron and Todd Griffith with 3:05 in regulation Spirit go to six attackers with thirty-one seconds remaining. Kingston Frontenacs get their third straight win beating Saginaw Spirit 4 - 3.
Matthew Spezza in net for Kingston with his third OHL win in three games facing 26 shots. Kingston totalled 31 shots.
3 Star Selection Evan Kotstopoulos is the First Star with the game winner and an assist. Todd Griffith gets the Third star for a goal and setting up the go-ahead-goal.
Frontenacs have 19 players dressed. Anthony Stewart is out with a hamstring injury, and Danny Revelle with a knee injury. Derek Lyons is also a scratch with a cracked knuckle.
Kingston Frontenacs road trip concludes Saturday Night in Plymouth. Kingston's next home game is Friday, October 22nd to host Plymouth at Kingston Memorial Centre 7:30PM.
